Tremec’s T-56 transmission was developed for use in a wide range of high end sports cars including Aston Martin, Viper and Corvette. The Mustang version includes the same features along with the high torque capacity. Double overdrive provides extended ratio coverage and allows for close ratio steps. Advanced technology in the bearings and synchronizers offer improved shift action and durability.

The new line of Tremec TKO transmissions offer many unique features and upgrades. The shift rail mechanism can be adjusted for shifter location both fore-aft and left-right to ensure a perfect fit for custom applications. Both mechanical and electronic speedometer pickups are included, along with a billet aluminum short shifter. The TKO’s now feature higher torque capacity with tough high alloy 4615 steel gears and shafts, 31-spline output shafts, and a new stiffer shift fork design. Whether you are building for road race, drag race, or street rod, you can choose your gear ratios from the chart below to best suit your application.
