Sean Hyland has raced,
wrenched, and developed Mustangs for more than half
his 34 years in Motorsport. Having cut his teeth
in autocross and pro rally competition in the early
1980's, he moved on to be a successful driver and team
owner in the Firehawk Endurance road race series in
the 1990s.
Sean founded Sean Hyland
Motorsport in 1988. As Sean became immerse in
developing the 4.6L engine in the mid 1990s, time
commitments forced his own Motorsport adventures to
take a back seat to his business, Sean Hyland
Motorsport.
Sean is still at the
forefront of 4.6L Modular V-8 development today, and
he's justifiably proud of his achievements. Most
notably the 4.6L and 5.4L engine block that he
designed for high-performance applications. Today,
Sean is involved with making Mustangs go faster every
day, and he's also the resident racing expert on Speed
Channel's Sports Car Revolution.
In
October 2008 SHM announced that it signed a deal with
Shelby Automobiles, and is now the only authorized mod
shop in Canada. It is also the only Authorized Shelby
Mod Shop, anywhere outside the U.S.!
Sean still finds some time
to spend with his wife Barb, and two daughters,
Samantha and Sarah. Born In Montreal, Sean has made
Woodstock, Ontario his home for many years. Sean has
written Two Books, and has his own DVD (How to
Rebuild... The Ford 4.6 Engine) .
