The Sean Hyland Race Block is the only aftermarket block for modular engines, and it is built to address all the limitations of the stock blocks. The SHM block offers the best platform to build maximum output road race, drag race, or offroad competition engines with and has been extensively tested for three years. The lightweight aluminum alloy block will shed 100 lbs of unwanted weight off the front end of your Shelby GT500, improving 1/4 mile performance, and handling at the same time. All in all, the best starting point for any serious engine package.

Current production 5.4 iron block. Incorporates the latest NVH changes which added 18 lbs of material to the block. Excellent foundation for building a new engine. Machined to standard bore. (3.551”)

5.4 ROTATING ASSEMBLY $1995.00

Full rotating assembly kit for 5.4 engines including Manley forged pistons and H-beam rods, forged steel crankshaft, SHM moly piston rings, Clevite rod bearings, and Federal Mogul main bearings. The quality doesn’t get better than this for aggressive street or moderate race applications up to 700 hp, 7000 rpm. Pistons available in standard size or oversize 0.020” or 0.030”, and flat top or dished 17cc or 23cc.

Manley forged Platinum Series dished pistons designed by SHM for lightweight performance and durability. Available in 11, 18, and 23 cc dish volumes to handle the boost you want to run. Featuring 2618 high strength material, perfect ring groove to skirt squareness, pressure balance groove, and fully banded skirt design for increased skirt stability. Includes tool steel wrist pins and locks.
