4.6 cast iron
block, filled with a forged steel crankshaft, forged
rods and 9.6-1 compression forged pistons. Ported Pi
cylinder heads are fitted with oversize stainless
valves and high performance beehive valve springs. A
pair of billet camshafts, ground with our hot street
cam grind provide a broad powerband and the lopey
idle of a hot rod engine, Billet fuel rails,
polished billet throttle body and cast aluminum
valve covers complete this engine package.

500 HP 4.6 SOHC

This is the bad boy
of the SOHC crate engines. Beginning with a cast
iron block, we add a forged steel crankshaft, forged
connecting rods, and boost friendly 9.0-1 forged
pistons. Ported PI cylinder heads fitted with
stainless valves and high performance valve springs
are actuated with SHM billet camshafts. A twin screw
supercharger feeds 12 lbs. of boost into the engine,
and the cast aluminum valve covers, and polished
throttle body compete the visual appeal of this
engine package.

Sean Hyland pioneered the 5 litre
version of the modular 4 valve engine in 1998 for road racing, and
this engine is the latest iteration of that concept. Utilizing an
aluminum block, thin wall cast iron sleeves are installed,
increasing the bore to 3.70 inches (94mm). Forged pistons of
10.5-1 compression and forged steel connecting rods are added to
the forged steel crankshaft. FR500 cylinder heads are ported,
fitted with oversize stainless valves and high lift billet steel
camshafts. A magnesium FR500 intake manifold with variable length
intake runners sits on top of this engine, completing the stunning
visual presentation.

The 4.6 cast iron block with a
forged steel crankshaft, is fitted with steel rods and boost
friendly 8.6-1 forged pistons. 4 valve cylinder heads, topped off
with a twin screw supercharger pushing out 15 psi of boost,
complete this package, creating a ground pounding 600 streetable
horsepower on pump fuel. Billet fuel rails and billet pulley
drives complete the under hood appeal of this engine package.

The Sean Hyland 600 HP Crate
Engine utilizes out 6 liter aluminum block, billet steel main
caps, forged steel crankshaft, forged H beam rods, forged pistons.
The Ford GT 4 valve cylinder heads use SHM camshafts to operate
the valves. A 4bbl Demon carb sits on an aluminum intake, and the
ignition is provided with a crank trigger system. The engine comes
complete with air filter, water pump, and one wire alternator.
Perfect for street rods and project cars.

Ford Racing Crate Engines - Modular
4.6L, 5.4L

The 5.0L DOHC 4-valve “Cammer” engine is an upgraded variant
of the 4.6L DOHC 4-valve Mustang Cobra engine, with numerous
changes for improved power and durability. This engine is
completely electronically managed. As part of the “Cammer”
crate engine program, a stand-alone harness and engine management
computer will be available separately. This will allow the engine
to be used for many applications.
With proper headers (not included) and low restriction air intake
and vehicle exhaust systems, the engine will exceed 400 Bhp and
have a very broad torque curve, peaking over 365 ft./lbs.
Among the many features of the 5.0L Cammer are:

DOHC 4-valve engines have been successfully used in drag racing,
circle track and road racing. Further component development takes
place on a continuous basis at Ford Racing, and will result in
ever expanding parts availability for this engine family.
