In 2005, Sean was approached by a longtime customer, John Buscema, and asked to develop a range of new products for vintage Mopar Muscle cars. John wanted a modern state of the art suspension developed, plus modern Hemi drivetrains to be retrofit into these cars.
Sean Hyland responded by developing a lightweight aluminum suspension system, developed using the same engineering tools OEM manufacturers such as Ford and GM use. In just 9 months time, complete solutions for the suspension, brake and powertrain were developed and tested. During the same period, SHM also produced a complete production car based on a 1970 Challenger completely re-manufactured to include all the developed products, as a rolling showcase for both products and complete cars.

Presently, Sean Hyland Motorsport produces all the suspension and drivetrain systems for XV Motorsport, and manufacturers complete turn key Mopar resto-mods, which are marketed by XV Motorsports, all at our Woodstock facility.
